Published over the years 1804-1807, shortly after the death of Marshall's friend George Washington, this five volume set is one of the best historical references of George Washington and the birth of the United States.
This is the first edition set published shortly after Washington's death making the set 200 years old.

The bindings are still solid and no pages are loose. They do show some wear and fraying. At some point the books appear to have been stored someplace damp as pages show some foxing and rippling but the text remains clear and bright throughout.
