We carry both used and new books at One for the Books and the majority of our used stock comes from trading. Used paperback books are usually half their original retail price and used hardcover books are about one third the original retail.

Our trade policy at One for the Books is simple. You bring in any books you would like to trade in and we check them against our current stock and take what we can fit on our shelves. We pride ourselves on having a wide selection of titles and it takes a well managed inventory to make that possible. What this means is we generally will not take a duplicate copy of a book unless its a quick moving title. We also only take books that are in good condition. We won't sell books that are dirty, missing pages or covers, or falling apart. Once we've identified which books we can fit onto our shelves we give you a store credit to use on any used books in the store equal to half of the resale value of the books traded in. We keep credit on file so if you don't find what your looking for you can always save your credit for another day.
